How To Borrow Data/Megabyte From MTN

03:14:00

MTN has just introduced a new service known as XTRABYTE which allows their eligible active prepaid customers to borrow data on credit when they run out of data
The is really a welcomed idea after the launching of their xtratime service some years back which allows customers to borrow airtime.

One thing i like about this their new offer is that one can borrow airtime through the MTN XtraTime and also borrow "data through XtraByte" as long as one is eligible both services.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this offer:
=> You should have a registered sim
=> Your number must have been active on the network for at least 3 months
=> Your main account balance has to be between #0 and #12

How To Find Out If You Are Eligible
Dial *606# and select 1 from your registered MTN line.
To check your balance, dial *606#, then select check balance.

NOTE📝
You can't borrow until you have less than N12 in your balance.

Happy New Month wonderful people! I’m sure you are all doing what you know how to do best. Like the saying always goes, what fuel is to a car is what data is to a mobile phone. Without data smartphones are useless. And always remember this formula,SLOW  NETWORK +DATA + SMARTPHONE= ANNOYANCE.

MTN: These guys have been hiding behind the mask of recent and this is absolutely unfair. They recently resurrected wow weekend, an offer which they started and stopped 2013. This offer gives you ridiculous bonus that you’ll think will take you eternity to exhaust, but I bet you within an hour, the bonus will be truncated.

MTN Wow weekend bonus is not actually what you think it is, it zaps, it sucks until it dries up. 17.5GB acclaimed bonus by MTN when you activate 3.5GB for N2000 is not up to 2GB. I don’t know why MTN have to stretch the truth in order to lure her customers into this unavoidable temptations.

However, The best data plan I can recommend that doesn’t zap are the ones that you get from third party re sellers. See their prices below;

1GB for N600
2GB for N1200
3GB for N1800
4GB for N2200
5GB for N2800

Glo: Glo still remain the lord of the ring when it comes to huge data plans that is why they are called the grand master of data. Despite the facts that it is so cheap, not everyone will like to subscribe to paid data plans. Hence, you can rock Glo N0.0 if you havetweakware vpn V3.3  installed on your Android devices.
Apply the settings below:

APN SETTINGS
APN NAME: gloflat
APN: gloflat

Airtel: Weeks ago, Airtel launches 2GB for N200 and 5GB forN500. This plan only works on Edge but you apply the trick here, you can use it on 3G speed. The issue now is if you’ve subscribed to this plan before, you won’t be able to use Airtel Blackberry Plan on your Android again except you completely opt out.
2GB for N200 is a virus that continually corrupt your sim from using Airtel 3GB for N1,000 data plan.

The only Airtel data plans that doesn’t zap are the weekend plans and third party data re sellers plan.

Etisalat: For now, the cheapest etisalat data plans are the one listed here.

iPhone/ iPad Users
It's advisable you go for the network that is strongest in your location. I guess you can see MTN, Etisalat and Glo cheapest data packages as posted above, any of them will work with your devices. Just make sure you scan your network strength before you choose a package.

Best Data Package for Heavy Downloaders
For heavy downloaders, the best is to have it unlimited. And no network in Nigeria for now gives you unlimited. Unlimited plans have all been scrapped including Airtel unlimited night plan. But you can get 15GB with just N500 for Airtel night plan.

Airtel’s Night Plan: Airtel recently introduced these night plan 1.5GB for N50 and 500MB for N25. The plan replaced the unlimited Night plan.

How Can I Get The Airtel Night Data plan
You must migrate to Airtel SmartTrybe by dialing *312# then reply with 1

4. Reply with 4 for N200 for 200mb + 30Min call (Weekend: Sat and Sun)

Here is the trick on how to get 15GB for N500.
Subscribe for 1.5GB for N50, once you exhaust it, subscribe again until you are satisfied with your download.

This is just simple application of knowledge. Go ahead and rock the best data that is strongest in your location.
